He has alleged that Kangana Ranaut has deliberately taken this role so that she can tarnish the image of Indira Gandhi. The Bharatiya Janata Party has also given its reaction to this whole matter.

Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Rajpal Singh Sisodia said, "Emergency is a black stain on our country's democracy and during that time Indira Gandhi was the heroine, and hence she need not fear." Recently, Kangana Ranaut shared the video during the shooting of the film, in the caption of which she wrote, 'Here is the video of the making of the first look of the film 'Emergency' being directed by me.
