New Delhi, Jan 30 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah Friday urged the city's migrant population from Madhya Pradesh to spread the party's "message of development in all corners" and ensure that the party wins the Feb 7 assembly polls.
Speaking at the "Madhya Pradesh Mitra Mandal Milan Mahasammelan" at the Talkatora stadium here, Shah asked the crowd of over 2,000 to become "devout" members of BJP and support the party's chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi.
"BJP is the only party that believes in development whether it is the Jan Dhan Yojana or regularising of unauthorised colonies. I want you all to spread this message of development in all corners of Delhi," Shah said.
"Bedi ji has a long administrative experience and with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the centre and a BJP chief minister in Delhi, I assure you that all your problems will be addressed," he added.
The BJP chief further attacked opposition parties - Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
"One is a corrupt party (Congress) and the other believes in anarchism (AAP). Do you want such people to come to power?" said Shah.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also wooed the gathering and said that just like their home state had developed under the BJP, Delhi too will become a world-class city.
"If you vote BJP to power, no one can stop it from developing," said Chouhan.
