It has been three days since the release of Ajay Devgan's 'Runway 34' and Tiger Shroff's 'Heropanti 2', but both of these films fell at the box office. Neither the magic of Ajay Devgan nor the action of Tiger worked on the screen. The result has been that despite the release of two films each, the responsibility of making the box office buzz fell on 'KGF Chapter 2', which was released three weeks ago. In the Hindi belt too, KGF gave water to Bollywood superstars.
Kannada superstar Yash Gowda's film 'KGF Chapter 2' has also shown a mirror to Bollywood by collecting double digits on its third Sunday. On Sunday, the audience fair is being held in theaters again to watch 'KGF Chapter 2', while on the other hand the ticket windows of Runway 34 and 'Heropanti 2' remained deserted. Looking at the pace that KGF 2 has collected at the box office, it seems that the film will soon overtake Rajamouli's 'RRR' in the worldwide collections.
Ajay Devgan's Runway earned around 7.50 crores on the third day, which is the biggest collection of the film in three days. Its account was opened on the first day at 3.50 crores. So on the second day, the film did a business of 5.25. As expected, the film performed well on Sunday but the film Runway 34 is also heading towards flopping very fast.
Tiger Shroff's Heropanti had generated some hope at the box office on the first day, but on Saturday and Sunday, the film fell again with dhamma. The film, which did business of 7 crores on the first day, got stuck at 5 crores on the second day. And it is such that Sajid Nadiadwala is going to hit a hat-trick of his flop films in the face of this film.
'KGF Chapter 2' has so far done a business of 708.80 crores at the domestic box office till the 17th day of its release. The film performed brilliantly on the 18th day of its release i.e. third Sunday Sunday. According to preliminary figures, KGF has done a net business of about Rs 21.50 crore in the entire country on Sunday. Out of this, the share of the Hindi version alone stood at Rs 10 crore.
