Whether or not there will be CBSE and ICSE board exams. It can be decided in 2 days. The central government will present its plan on this in the Supreme Court on Thursday. On this issue, a bench of Justice AM Khanwilkar and Justice Dinesh Maheshwari held a virtual hearing in the Supreme Court on Monday. Meanwhile, Attorney General of India KK Venugopal said that the Central Government will decide in 2 days whether the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Council of Indian School Certificate Examinations will be the 12th examination of ICSE. The next hearing on the matter will be held on May 3.

Giving an extension of 2 days to the plea of the Center, the Supreme Court said that you are given time to make a decision. Whatever decision you take, you will have to give strong arguments behind it. Justice Khanwilkar said, 'The students were very hopeful that this year also there will not be an exam like last year and method system will be adopted for numbering.

The petitioner said - the debate aroused hope

Advocate Mamta Sharma, who has filed a petition for cancellation of the CBSE examination, told Dainik Bhaskar, 'Today's debate is hopeful. The bench has given us a positive message. Hopefully, the decision will come in favor of the students on Thursday. Advocate Mamta Sharma said, 'He also put the matter of examination process and declaration of results soon before the court. On this, the court gave him an affirmative answer.

Updates

Justice Khanwilkar told AG's K Venugopal - If you make a policy different from last year, then give us solid reasons for this.

Petitioner - There is a need to speed up the process. Otherwise, the students who are going to apply abroad will face problems.

Bench- We will discuss this issue on Thursday.

Justice Khanwilkar again asked the Attorney General - Why can't the previous arrangements be made this time?

Attorney General- Do you want us to give you a reason for this?

Bench- Yes, of course, give reasons why you cannot implement last year's system?

Attorney General - OK

Bench- We have no problem with your decision, but if you give a different arrangement from last year, then we just need a solid reason, so that we can investigate that reason.

Bench- The decision taken last year was taken with much debate and deliberation. So whatever decision is taken this year, it should be taken with some good and strong reason.

The decision can be taken in the meeting of education minister

Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank is scheduled to meet with CBSE on 1 June. It is expected that a decision can be taken in this meeting. Earlier in the meeting, CBSE had kept 2 options for the exam. Some media reports have claimed that there will be the 12th examination. Its dates and format are not yet decided. At the same time, the decision to conduct class 12th exams in the state has been left to their board.

300 students wrote letters to CJI

Earlier on 25 May, 300 students of the CBSE 12th class wrote a letter to Chief Justice NV Ramana. In their letter petition, these students had demanded the cancellation of CBSE's decision to conduct a physical exam between Corona. The students also appealed to the Supreme Court to direct the government to decide on an alternative method of assessment.

Students had said that many students have lost their families due to Covid-19 in the country. In such a situation, conducting a physical examination at this time is not only a threat to the safety of millions of students and teachers but also their families.

Sisodia gave a suggestion to the center - give the vaccine, take the exam

Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia had written a letter to Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, demanding that class 12 students should not be called for exams without vaccination. He had said that Covaxin or CoviShield can be given to children above the age of 17, so the Central Government should consult the experts. For this, the center should also talk to the Pfizer company.

Difference between CBSE and ICSE board

CBSE is a government board of school education. It is controlled by the central government. At the same time, ICSE is a non-government (private) board of education. It was established in India for Anglo Indian education.
