The second wave of Corona in the country is beginning to wreak havoc. With the new cases in the past, there was also a decrease in the death toll for the first time. In the country on Sunday, one lakh 53 thousand 347 people were confirmed infected and 2 lakh 37 thousand 568 people were also cured. During this period 3,129 people also died. This figure of those who lost their lives in one day is the lowest in the last 34 days. Earlier, on April 27, 3,286 corona infectives had died.

Restrictions like lockdown in 19 states

There are restrictions like complete lockdown in 19 states of the country. These include Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Mizoram, Goa, Telangana, West Bengal, and Puducherry. There are stringent restrictions like the previous lockdown.

 

Partial lockdown in 13 states/union territories

There is a partial lockdown in 13 states and union territories of the country. That is, there are restrictions here, but there are also exemptions. These include Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Assam, Manipur, Tripura, Andhra Pradesh, and Gujarat.

The Yogi government on Sunday announced the removal of lockdown from 55 out of 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh. The weekend lockdown (Saturday-Sunday) will now apply.

 

Corona curfew has been extended till June 7 in 20 districts including the capital Lucknow, Allahabad. The reason is that there are more than 600 active cases till May 30.

 

The state government has extended the lockdown till June 15, despite the case being reduced in Maharashtra. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray announced this on Sunday.

 

He said that we cannot say when the third wave of Corona will come, but we should not reduce our security.

 

State of major states

 

1. Maharashtra

 

On Sunday, 18,600 people were found infected. 22,532 people recovered and 402 people died. So far, 57.31 lakh people have been affected by the infection in the state. Of these, 53.62 lakh people have been cured, while 94,844 people have died. 2.71 lakh patients are currently undergoing treatment.

 

2. Uttar Pradesh

On Sunday, 1,908 people were found infected. 6,713 people were cured and 140 people died. So far, 16.90 lakh people have been infected in the state. Of these, 16.28 lakh have been cured, while 20,346 patients succumbed. 41,214 patients are being treated here.

 

3. Delhi

In Delhi, 946 people were found corona positive on Sunday. 1,803 people recovered and 78 died. So far, 14.25 lakh people have been infected. Of these, 13.89 lakh people have been cured, while 24,151 patients have died. 12,100 are being treated here.

 

4. Chhattisgarh

On Sunday, 1655 people were found corona positive in the state. 4521 people recovered and 37 died. So far, 9.69 lakh people have been infected. Of these, 9.11 lakh people have been cured, while 12,979 people have died. 39,261 patients are undergoing treatment.

 

5. Rajasthan

On Sunday, 2,298 people were found corona infected. 9,636 people recovered and 66 died. So far, 9.38 lakh people have been affected by the infection in the state. Of these, 8.80 lakh people have been cured, while 8,317 patients have died. At present, 49,224 patients are undergoing treatment.

 

6. Gujarat

On Sunday, 1,871 people were found corona positive in the state. 5,146 people recovered and 25 died. So far, 8.07 lakh people have been infected. Of these, 7.62 lakh people have been cured, while 9,815 patients have died. 35,403 people are being treated here.

 

7. Madhya Pradesh

On Sunday, 1,476 people were found corona positive in the state. 5,059 people recovered and 60 died. So far, 7.78 lakh people have been infected. Of these, 7.43 lakh people have been cured, while 8,019 people have died. 27,256 patients are undergoing treatment.
