CM Yogi sought a list of careless officers, action may be taken against the divisional commissioners of Ayodhya and Agra

After seeking reports from the Tehsildar to the DM for negligence in settling revenue disputes, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has now summoned the report of the Divisional Commissioners. Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra immediately reviewed the revenue disputes and found that 4,619 cases of revenue disputes are pending in 18 divisions.

 

Expressing displeasure, he has prepared a report of the divisional commissioners who are negligent in settling the disputes. This report will be submitted to the Chief Minister soon. After this, action can be taken against the negligent divisional commissioners.

 

Agra-Ayodhya lagging in revenue matters

The Chief Secretary also reprimanded the negligent divisional commissioners, while praising those who did good work. The Chief Secretary found in the meeting that Aligarh, Ayodhya, Basti, Vindhyachal, and Agra divisions are the worst in settling revenue disputes.

 

At the same time, Meerut, Moradabad, Varanasi, Saharanpur, and Chitrakootdham divisions have done good work. The highest number of 2,445 cases are pending in Aligarh division. The number of cases pending for more than five years is 3,204. The number of pending cases in Ayodhya division is 1,049, while the number of cases pending for more than five years is 1,175.

 

942 cases are pending in the Basti division, the number of cases pending for more than five years is 792. At the same time, the number of cases pending for more than five years in the Vindhyachal division is 649. 508 cases are pending in the Agra division. Here too, the maximum number of cases pending for more than five years is 612.
