Heavy rain is also likely in Punjab, Haryana, and Northwest Uttar Pradesh in the next two days.
A Western Disturbance is over Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining areas. The Western Disturbance which is over North Pakistan will start affecting the Western Himalayas by tonight. Cyclone-like conditions will prevail over Southwest Rajasthan and its adjoining areas. Apart from this, the rain will continue in Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. The rain, which started on Thursday night, will continue till Saturday. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in Haryana, Punjab, and Chandigarh on Saturday. Apart from this, heavy rain and storm conditions will be seen from Madhya Pradesh to Vidarbha.

According to Skymet Weather, light to moderate rain may occur at some places over Central and east Uttar Pradesh, North Madhya Pradesh, and East Rajasthan today. Light rain with one or two isolated spells of rain may occur over some parts of Gujarat and some parts of Bihar. On January 7 and 8, rain activities will increase over Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan, Delhi, and West Uttar Pradesh. The intensity of rain and snow will increase once again in the Western Himalayas on January 7 and 8. Incessant rains will improve the air pollution of Delhi and NCR.

According to the Meteorological Department, after January 8, six districts in Bihar, especially Vaishali, Saran, Siwan, Muzaffarpur, Madhubani, Sitamarhi, and Sheohar, are expected to receive rain due to flowing Purvaiya. During this, a Western Disturbance will also be active. There is a possibility of rain here between January 9 and 10. After this, the cold wave will start blowing all over Bihar.
