At present, there is a big relief in the country on the front of the Corona epidemic. The spread of the coronavirus is under control, deaths are decreasing and life is slowly getting back on track. Keeping in mind that the situation should improve rapidly and the epidemic does not return, the government started a special campaign on Wednesday to speed up vaccination. In the second phase of the 'Har Ghar Dastak 2.0' campaign, special attention will be given to vaccination in old age homes, schools, colleges, and jails. The experiences of the first phase of the special immunization campaign launched in November last year are being implemented in the second phase, which will run from June 1 to July 31.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Health, it has been said that all the states and union territories have been advised to take it in mission mode. Along with this, an intensive campaign has been asked to provide vaccine protection cover to all eligible people against the coronavirus. The main objective of the 'Har Ghar Dastak 2.0' campaign is to go from door to door and apply first, second and vigilance doses to all the eligible people. In this, special emphasis will be given to speed up the vaccination of the 12-14 years age group and vigilance dose to people above 60 years of age.
According to the Health Ministry, special attention will be given to places like old age homes, schools, colleges, jails, and brick kilns. Efforts are also being made that no child in the age group of 12-18 years should be deprived of vaccination, irrespective of whether he goes to school or not.
