Covid-19: The epidemic will end in 2022 only if the world accepts this condition of the WHO chief

World Health Organization (WHO) chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has given a big message to the world battling the Corona epidemic so that future diseases and epidemics can be prevented. Putting a condition for this, he said that this global health body has prepared a 'BioHub System' for countries around the world so that innovative biological material can be shared.

The WHO chief again said, 'Coronavirus epidemic (Covid-19) will be over by the end of 2022 if we together eliminate inequality'. Ghebreyesus gave this message in his New Year's address. Meanwhile, with the beginning of 2022, the third year of the worldwide corona epidemic has started.

Ghebreyesus said that no country is immune from the threat of an epidemic. We have many innovative ways to prevent and treat COVID-19, but as long as inequality continues, the risks to the virus will be greater. We cannot stop it nor can we predict it. If we end inequality, I will end the epidemic'

He said that Covid-19 is not the only health threat that the people of the world will face next year. Millions of people are also deprived of routine vaccination, family planning, and treatment for communicable and non-communicable diseases. He also said that to save the world from future pandemics, WHO has created 'Biohum', so that countries around the world can share new biological materials.

A few days ago, in a media briefing, the WHO chief had said that 2022 should be made the year of the end of the epidemic. Recently, a new variant of Corona, Omicron has appeared, WHO has declared it 'Variant of Concern'. It is spreading rapidly all over the world. In India too, its patients have increased to 1700.

The World Health Organization has approved the emergency use of Serum Institute of India's new Novavax as the ninth vaccine against Corona. The head of the organization expressed hope that this vaccine will play an important role in achieving the goal of global vaccination.
