New Delhi, Jan 24 (IANS) The Election Commission Saturday directed Delhi Metro and the city transport department to provide equal opportunities to all political parties by giving space for political advertisements prior to the Feb 7 assembly polls.

The poll panel in its order also instructed the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to issue necessary directions to contractors of feeder buses to remove political advertisements displayed on such buses.

The order was issued after a meeting held Saturday by the Delhi Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) with officials of the DMRC and transport department.
