The budget session of Parliament has begun. The budget session began with President Ram Nath Kovind's address to both the houses in the Central Hall. During his address, the President mentioned the work done by the government. After this Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Economic Survey. In the Economic Survey, the government has projected a growth rate of 8 to 8.5% for the financial year 2023. The Economic Survey said that the economy is expected to grow by 9.2 percent in the current financial year. This is in line with the first advance estimates released earlier this month. This projection is based on the assumption that there will be no further pandemics and no economic disruption.

It is known that the Economic Survey is presented before the budget. The first Economic Survey of India was presented in 1950-51. Initially, it was presented along with the budget till the year 1964 but later it was introduced separately.
