
Appreciating India's commitment to renewable energy, EU President Ursula von der Leyen said India and the European Union (EU) shared goals in the field of green energy, including solar energy. The EU chief's statement came at the 'Youth for a Greener Future' event organized by the Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), Delhi on Sunday. Climate change and biodiversity issues are at the top of the political agenda of the European Union and India. Leyen said youth should raise their voices for action on climate change. To combat climate change and save the earth, youth leadership is needed and they have to find solutions, he said.
