Fortune 500 List: LIC, and Reliance jump for the first time on Fortune 500 list

The country's largest insurance company Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has made it to the list of Fortune 500 for the first time. It is ranked 98th. Its revenue is $97.26 billion. The profit is $533 million.

 

 

Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL) has jumped 51 places to the 104th position. Its revenue in the last financial year stood at $ 93.98 billion. While the net profit stood at $ 8.15 billion. It has been on this list for the last 19 years.

 

 

There are a total of 9 companies in the Fortune 500 in the country. Out of this, 5 are from the government, and 4 are from the private sector. LIC is before Reliance among Indian companies. While the IOC has jumped 28 places to 142. ONGC has jumped 16 places to 190.
