Before filing his papers on Thursday, he offered prayers at the Mahalaxmi temple in Panaji. On this occasion, he said, 'I have come here to seek God's blessings, I am hopeful and confident that the people of Panaji will give me their blessings. The work that my father did here, I have to do the same work for the people here. The people of Panaji will vote for the future here.
