The first match of IPL 2021 between Virat Kohli's Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rohit Sharma's Mumbai Indians will be played in Chennai on 9 April. Meanwhile, the medical team of RCB is constantly in touch with Padiqkal so that they can be given more security.

The 22-year-old RCB batsman had come under the grip of Corona the previous day, after which he was quarantined at his home in Bangalore. He underwent a corona test on March 22, after which his report came back positive.
