India vs China Strategy: Incidents of minor skirmishes have been continuously coming to the fore on the land borders of India from the side of the People's Liberation Army i.e. the Chinese Army. In the last few years, the winters of the Chinese army have increased rapidly. Before the recent case of Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh, similar situations were created in front of the Indian Army in Doklam and Galwan Valley. The question is, why is China, which is constantly fighting with India on the land borders, doing these activities? The biggest reason for this is that the sea has become China's sore vein. Let's know how?
Why is China moving forward with the strategy of provocation?
India is emerging as a big force at the global level. Countries like superpowers America to Russia have also become convinced of India's foreign policy. China does not want India to become such a power in Asia that it can challenge itself. This is the reason why China is adopting the strategy of provoking war through skirmishes on the land borders with India. However, China does not want to fight a war with India. But, due to such incidents, India's attention is not going toward its maritime borders. Which China also wants.
How is India becoming strong in the sea?
In the last few years, China has built ports and military bases in many countries bordering the Indian Ocean. China has made its bases in many countries including Gwadar in Pakistan, Hambantota in Sri Lanka, and the island nation Maldives. Along with this, China is expanding its strategic reach to Central Asia through the Belt and Road Initiative. China's military base in the African country Djibouti is causing concern for India in the Indian Ocean.
In response to which India started the siege of China by adopting the strategy of the Necklace of Diamonds. With the strategy of Necklace of Diamonds, India has got strategic and diplomatic success in the Indian Ocean and Pacific Ocean regions. Which is getting stronger all the time. Under the strategy of Necklace of Diamonds, India has strengthened its strategic relations with South Asian countries and island countries of the Indian Ocean. At the same time, China is getting an idea of its strength through military exercises in the Indo-Pacific region along with Quad member countries America, Japan, and Australia.
Not only this, under the Necklace of Diamond strategy, India is trying to keep an eye on Chinese warships and submarines by setting up the port and extensive coastal surveillance radar systems in neighboring countries of China. At present, India has signed agreements regarding Dakam in Oman, Chabahar in Iran, Sabang Island in Indonesia, and Changi Port in Singapore. At the same time, several agreements have been signed with countries like Maldives, Seychelles, Mauritius, Vietnam, and Mongolia regarding defense cooperation.
India has also joined hands with those countries like New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, South Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, and Indonesia. Who are against the expansionist policy of China? To put it simply, India has made several arrangements to encircle China in the maritime region of the Indian and Pacific Oceans. At the same time, efforts are also being made to strengthen it further. To put it simply, the sea has become a sore spot for China. China does not want peace to remain on the land border of India. Because, due to this, India's attention will be diverted from other places. Which will benefit China.
India is the biggest obstacle in the way of China becoming a superpower
China is trying to make itself the new superpower country of the world. To strengthen itself, China is increasing the number of its army and weapons. On the other hand, China is doing economic and diplomatic expansion on the pretext of the Belt and Road Initiative. But, America has started the Build Back Better World (B3W) project with the leaders of the G-7 countries to siege China. Which can destroy China's dream of becoming a superpower. At the same time, India is playing an important role in this strategy of America.
America formed a group of quad countries to put pressure on China. India has been given an important place. India, which is included in the group of Quad countries along with America, Japan, and Australia, has now become the biggest obstacle in the way of China becoming a superpower. 10 countries associated with ASEAN also come under the shadow of Quad countries. Who are engaged in strengthening their strategic relations with India?
