Know what the High Court said in its order

The High Court in its order said that we will pass the order. Till then, let the school-college start. But till the matter is not resolved, no one will be allowed to wear religious attire. The High Court said, “Religious clothes like the hijab or saffron shawls shall not be worn in school-college premises till the disposal of the judgment. We'll stop everyone. Because we want peace in the state. The High Court is hearing petitions on behalf of Muslim girl students challenging the hijab ban in colleges.

Many cases are pending in the court

During the hearing of the case, the State High Court has said that at present they are also considering another issue whether wearing a headscarf comes under Fundamental Rights. Youth Congress President filed a petition in Supreme Court

On the other hand, a new petition has been filed in the Supreme Court on Thursday. In this petition, Youth Congress President BV Srinivas and a journalism student have called the right to practice religion a fundamental right in the Constitution. It has been said in the petition that this is a direct violation of fundamental rights and also such incidents are happening in many states, so it would be better for the top court to take cognizance of it.
