The graph of corona infection in the country has come down further. In the last 24 hours, 2.59 lakh patients have reported positive, while 3.57 lakh patients have been cured. However, the number of people who lost their lives to the epidemic once again crossed 4 thousand. On Thursday, 4,208 patients died. In this way, the number of active cases, ie, patients undergoing treatment, decreased by 1.02 lakh.

 

On Thursday, Corona's new case figure was the lowest in 34 days. Earlier, on April 16, 2.34 lakh new cases were received. The biggest relief is that from 8 days, the number of patients recovering from the new case remains high. This has led to a steady decrease in the number of active cases, ie patients undergoing treatment. The second wave of Corona had the highest number of active cases of 37.41 lakhs on 9 May. In 11 days it has come down to 30.22 lakh.

Restrictions like lockdown in 19 states

There are restrictions like complete lockdown in 19 states of the country. These include Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Mizoram, Goa, Telangana, West Bengal, and Puducherry. There are stringent restrictions like the previous lockdown.

 

Partial lockdown in 13 states/union territories

There is a partial lockdown in 13 states and union territories of the country. That is, there are restrictions here, but there are also exemptions. These include Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Assam, Manipur, Tripura, Andhra Pradesh, and Gujarat.

The curfew in Goa has been extended till 31 May because of the increasing cases of the corona. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has announced this on Friday. He said, 'Shops of essential commodities and grocery stores will be open from 7 am to 1 pm during the curfew. The chemists will get the exemption from the curfew. Earlier, Goa had a strict curfew till 23 May.

 

Sunderlal Bahuguna, the famous environmentalist and leader of the Chipko movement, died on Friday at the age of 94 from Corona. He was admitted to AIIMS Rishikesh on 8 May. He was a diabetic patient. He also developed pneumonia with Corona. Bahuguna was born on January 9, 1927, in Tehri, Uttarakhand.

 

State of major states

 

1. Maharashtra

On Thursday, 29,911 people were found infected. 47,371 people recovered and 984 people died. So far, 54.97 lakh people have been affected by the infection in the state. Of these, 50.26 lakh people have been cured, while 85,355 people have died. 3.83 lakh patients are currently being treated.

 

2. Uttar Pradesh

On Thursday, 6,681 people were found infected. 13,590 people recovered and 236 people died. So far, 16.51 lakh people have been infected in the state. Of these, 15.16 lakh have been cured, while 18,588 patients succumbed. Here, 1.16 lakh patients are being treated.

 

3. Delhi

In Delhi, 3,231 people were found corona positive on Thursday. 7,831 people recovered and 233 died. So far, 14.09 lakh people have been infected. Of these, 13.47 lakh people have been cured, while 22,579 patients have died. 40,214 are under treatment here.

 

4. Chhattisgarh

On Thursday, 5,212 people were found corona infected. 9,501 people recovered and 113 died. So far, 9.36 lakh people in the state have been infected. Of these, 8.42 lakh people have been cured, while 12,295 patients have died. 81,466 patients are undergoing treatment.

 

5. Gujarat

On Thursday, 4,773 people were found corona positive in the state. 8,308 people recovered and 64 died. So far, 7.76 lakh people have been infected. Of these, 6.77 lakh people have been cured, while 9,404 patients have died. 89,018 people are being treated here.

 

6. Madhya Pradesh

On Thursday, 4,952 people were found corona positive in the state. 9,746 people recovered and 88 died. So far, 7.52 lakh people have been infected. Of these, 6.72 lakh people have been cured, while 7,315 people have died. 72,725 patients are undergoing treatment.
