Before the coronation of Maharaja Charles III, Britain is worried that India might not get angry. The reason for this displeasure could be the Kohinoor diamond. Although Britain has also tried to avoid this 'controversy' by showing great understanding. It is reported that Camilla, wife of Maharaja Charles III, will not wear the crown of the late Queen at her coronation to avoid angering India and other countries. Because it has the controversial 105-carat Kohinoor diamond. Significantly, the coronation of the Maharaja of Britain will take place on May 6 next year at Westminster Abbey in London. Buckingham Palace announced on Tuesday. Her son Charles, 73, was proclaimed King of Britain after Queen Elizabeth II died last month.

According to the Daily Mail report, the Queen Consort (Camilla) was planning to wear the controversial Koh-i-Noor diamond-studded crown. But this plan may be scrapped due to 'political sensitivity. According to the news, a long time ago the (future) king of Britain had raised the issue that when he and his wife were coronated, the wife would be declared queen consort or consort by wearing the crown of the late queen. A consensus was reached on this issue at that time. Let the Patrani be the queen who has the right to sit on the throne with the king. In the case of Britain, this right is going to go to Camilla, the wife of King Charles III.

Speaking of the crown, this prized piece contains 2,800 diamonds, including the famous 105-carat Koh-i-Noor diamond. It is one of the largest cut diamonds in the world. Now media reports have revealed that there is 'panic' in Britain over Camilla being crowned the late Queen at the time of her coronation. Because the dispute about the ownership of the diamond also continues. The diamond originated in India. But apart from India, it has been claimed by many other countries as well.

Wearing Kohinoor brings back painful memories of the colonial past: India

The Daily Mail quoted a spokesperson for India's ruling party as saying that the use of the controversial Kohinoor diamond in Camilla's crown could bring back "painful memories" of British colonialism. The controversial jewel is set to appear at the coronation of King Charles next year, with Queen Camilla set to crown the late Queen at the ceremony.

How the Kohinoor diamond reached the British Queen

The giant diamond originated from India and was given to Queen Victoria by the last Sikh emperor of India. Queen Victoria was 10 years old at the time. But there is controversy over the gifting and there are demands to return it in at least three countries, including India.

Another diamond will appear in the British Crown

This precious gem is part of the famous Crown Jewels. Now there is news that in place of Kohinoor, another diamond can be installed in the crown of Britain. Royal sources insist that no official decision has been taken yet. However, India's ruling party has clearly stated that the use of the Kohinoor crown at the coronation "may remind some Indians of the days of the British Empire".

So painful memories will be fresh for India

Speaking to The Telegraph, a BJP spokesperson said, "Camilla's coronation and use of the Kohinoor crown will bring back painful memories of the colonial past. Most Indians have little memory of the oppressive past. Five to six generations of Indians had to face many foreign rulers for more than five centuries. He said, 'Recent occasions, such as the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the coronation of the new Queen Camilla, and the use of the Kohinoor may take some Indians back to the days of the British Empire in India.'
