On Saturday, inside the Pragati Maidan tunnel, miscreants looted a bag containing two lakh rupees from a car-borne businessman at gunpoint. Now the CCTV footage of this incident has come to the fore, in which fearless bike riders are seen carrying out the robbery.

 

At the same time, after the video of this incident surfaced, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal sought the resignation of the Lieutenant Governor raising questions about the law and order situation in the state.

The businessmen were going towards India Gate via Pragati Maidan Tunnel from Ring Road on Saturday, June 24, around 3 to 4 pm. Only then did four miscreants riding two bikes stopped the motorcycle in front of his car and snatched a bag full of money and fled threatening to kill him on informing the police.

 

The businessman lodged a report of the incident with Tilak Marg police station in the section of looting. At present, the police are trying to identify the miscreants after recovering the CCTV footage.

According to the information, Sajan Kumar, a resident of Mehsana, Gujarat, has a gold and silver jewelry business in Chandni Chowk. He was going by cab on Saturday afternoon to give Rs 2 lakh to a Gurugram-based firm. He was accompanied by fellow Jitendra Patel. He left the Ring Road by booking a cab from the Red Fort. Entered the tunnel from Pragati Maidan, they had to leave towards India Gate.

 

Four miscreants riding two bikes got their cab stopped inside the tunnel. After this, the car window was opened by showing the pistol. Then looted a bag full of Rs. After the miscreants left, the victim called the PCR and informed them about the incident. In the case, the police officer told that the incident took place at three to four o'clock in the day, while the victim had given the complaint of the case at six o'clock in the evening.
