Are you also experiencing trouble using Instagram? If so, let us tell you that Meta's Instagram is currently experiencing a massive outage worldwide, including in India. On the online outage monitoring platform, DownDetector, more than 10,000 users in the US have reported issues with the social media platform.
On the other hand, in India, more than 900 reports have been filed so far. Most complaints appear to be related to the mobile app. DownDetector's data shows that approximately 78 percent of users are experiencing app-related issues, while 13 percent reported website-related issues, and the remaining 10 percent said they were experiencing server connection problems.
Problems Since Morning
According to DownDetector, reports of outages in India began coming in around 8:00 am. After this, distressed users took to X to share their experiences. One user shared, "Everyone is rushing to Twitter to see if Instagram DMs are down," while another posted, "Instagram DMs are down just when I want to send an important DM."
Meta has not issued an official statement.
Meta, on the other hand, has not yet issued an official statement regarding the entire outage. Users experiencing issues with Instagram will now have to wait until Meta addresses the issue and restores the platform.
