IPL auction final list: 590 players will be bidding, 370 Indians and 220 foreigners; Auction on February 12-13

This year's IPL mega auction will be held on February 12 and 13 in Bengaluru. On Tuesday, BCCI has released a list of 590 players who will be part of the auction. These players will include 355 uncapped players and 228 capped players. 10 teams will participate in this two-day-long mega auction. At the same time, players from 7 associate countries will also be part of the auction. 370 Indian and 220 foreign players will participate in the auction.

 

This time many big players will not take part in the tournament. West Indies legend Chris Gayle has not given his name in the auction. At the same time, Australia's Mitchell Starc, England's Sam Curran, Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer, Joe Root, Chris Woakes have also not included their names in the auction.

 

48 players have placed themselves at the base price of 2 crores. At the same time, 20 players have placed themselves at the base price of 1.5 crores. If we talk about the base price of 1 crore, then there are names of 34 players on this list.

 

33 players were retained

 

33 players have been retained for IPL 2022. 8 teams have retained 27 players. At the same time, 2 new IPL teams have added 6 players to their team. KL Rahul has been added by Lucknow with his team for 17 crores.

 

With this, he has also become the most expensive player in IPL history. Earlier, former RCB captain Virat Kohli also used to get only 17 crores from the 2018 to 2021 season. Lucknow has also made KL the captain of its team.

 

After the year 2018, the first big auction of IPL is going to happen. There was a total of 8 teams in the Mega Auction of IPL 2018. This time 10 teams will take part in the auction. 10 teams together have spent a total of Rs 338 crore on 33 players.

 

Apart from Ravichandran Ashwin, Shreyas Iyer, Shikhar Dhawan, Ishan Kishan, Suresh Raina are in the base price of 2 crores from India. At the same time, apart from David Warner, Kagiso Rabada, Dwayne Bravo among foreign players, there are big names like Pat Cummins, Adam Zampa, Steve Smith, Shakib Al Hasan, Mark Wood, Trent Boult, and Faf du Plessis.
