Panaji, Jan 16 (IANS) A 20-year-old Israeli national was Friday arrested in Goa for possession of popular party drug LSD valued at Rs.20.60 lakh, police said.
Neria Bendavid was arrested around 1.30 a.m. from the beach village of Arambol, 50 km from here.
Bendavid, who was in Goa on a tourist visa and was living in Chapora, a coastal village notorious for availability of narcotics, had gone to Arambol to peddle the drugs, police said.
"We have also seized a mobile phone and Rs.1,200 in cash along with the LSD worth Rs.20.60 lakh during the raid," a police official attached to the anti-narcotics cell said.
