After Baba's darshan, Modi went to see the Samadhi of Adi Shankaracharya. This 12 feet high statue of Adi Shankaracharya weighs 28 tons. It is made from granite stones selected from Mysore. Will lay the foundation stone of projects worth 300 crores
After Kedarnath Darshan, Modi will also lay the foundation stone of development projects worth more than 3400 crores. Modi will lay the foundation stone of the Kedarnath ropeway project at 9 pm. This ropeway will be 9.7 km long, which will connect Gaurikund with Kedarnath. Right now it takes about six hours to cover this distance. Once the ropeway is built, this journey will be completed in 30 minutes.
PM has gone to Kedarnath five times so far
This is the sixth Kedarnath Yatra of Narendra Modi after becoming the PM. For the first time, he went to Kedarnath Dham on 3 May 2017. After this, on 19 October 2017, PM Modi had darshan and worship at Kedarnath Dham, as well as laid the foundation stone of many constructions works. On November 7, 2018, on the occasion of Diwali, PM Modi reached Kedarnath Dham for Darshan.
After this, he reached Kedarnath the next day after the campaign for the Lok Sabha elections was over on 18 May 2019. During this, he also meditated in a cave.
