Kolkata, Jan 30 (IANS) Trinamool Congress general secretary Mukul Roy, who was grilled for around four and a half hours Friday by the CBI in connection with the Saradha ponzi scam, said he wanted the truth to come out and the investigation to move in the right direction.
"Let the truth be revealed. Let the investigation move in the right direction," Roy told media persons after coming out of the Central Bureau of Investigation office in the afternoon.
The former railway minister promised to come to the agency's office and talk to the investigators if they call him for the sake of the probe.
"I have told the agency that for unearthing the truth, if they feel it is necessary, they can call me and talk to me whenever they wish to," he said.
Roy iterated that from the outset he had been saying he was prepared to join the probe and cooperate with the CBI.
"From day one, I have been saying that the agency, which is probing the matter, whenever they call me for the sake of probe, I will join the probe and cooperate.Even this morning I have said I am going to the agency for the sake of the probe."
Roy mentioned that he had come "exactly at 10.30 a.m. - the time scheduled for me,", and talked to the investigators.
