The highest number of them were found to be 63,729 in Maharashtra, 27,360 in Uttar Pradesh, 19,486 in Delhi, 14,859 in Karnataka, 14,912 in Chhattisgarh, 11,045 in Madhya Pradesh, and 10,031 in Kerala. ICSE exam also postponed, students of class 10 were given the option
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) has also postponed the examinations of ISCE (10th) and ISC (12th) after the CBSE amidst ever-increasing corona cases in the country. According to the board, the new exam date will be decided in the first week of June.
CISCE Chief Executive and Secretary Gerry Arathoon said that the 12th examination will be conducted later. At the same time, the examination will be optional for 10th class students. The CISCE will decide the result of the students of class 10 who do not want to appear in the examination, based on a criterion. This year, the theory examinations of 10th-12th were scheduled to begin on 4 May 2021.
