For the first time on Friday, a record 2 lakh 33 thousand 757 people were found infected within a day. During this, 1 lakh 22 thousand 839 patients were also recovered. So far 1.45 crore people have been infected across the country. This figure will cross 1.5 million by this evening.

69.05% i.e. 1.61 lakh patients grew in only 7 states

On Friday, 1 lakh 61 thousand 422 i.e. 69.05% new patients increased in only 7 states. The highest number of them were found to be 63,729 in Maharashtra, 27,360 in Uttar Pradesh, 19,486 in Delhi, 14,859 in Karnataka, 14,912 in Chhattisgarh, 11,045 in Madhya Pradesh, and 10,031 in Kerala. These states also recorded the highest number of deaths of 939 i.e. 70.17%.

 

Today meeting of many state health ministers

Today, Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan will hold video conferencing with the health ministers of all the states of the country where the cases of corona are increasing. Dr. Harshvardhan said that the situation in Corona will be reviewed in this meeting. Apart from this, there will also be talks about the resource crisis. There will be a meeting of the directors of all AIIMS Hospitals in the country on Monday. It will ask to enhance facilities at AIIMS.

Chandigarh's PGIMER Hospital sent a sample of 60 corona-infected patients to the National Center for Disease Control for examination. It has a 70% sample UK variant. Besides, double mutations of the virus were found in one sample and 681H mutants were found in 20% of the people.

ICSE exam also postponed, students of class 10 were given the option

 

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) has also postponed the examinations of ISCE (10th) and ISC (12th) after the CBSE amidst ever-increasing corona cases in the country. According to the board, the new exam date will be decided in the first week of June.

 

CISCE Chief Executive and Secretary Gerry Arathoon said that the 12th examination will be conducted later. At the same time, the examination will be optional for 10th class students. The CISCE will decide the result of the students of class 10 who do not want to appear in the examination, based on a criterion. This year, the theory examinations of 10th-12th were scheduled to begin on 4 May 2021.

1. Maharashtra

 

63,729 new patients were found here on Friday. 45,335 patients recovered and 398 died. So far, 37.03 lakh people have been affected by the epidemic in the state. Of these, 30.04 lakh people have recovered, while 59,551 have died. Currently, about 6.38 lakh people are being treated here.

 

2. Uttar Pradesh

 

Corona report of 27,360 people came positive on Friday. 6,429 people recovered and 103 died. So far, 7.93 lakh people have been found infected here. Of these, 6.33 lakh have been cured, while 9,583 patients died. 1.50 lakh patients are undergoing treatment.

 

3. Delhi

 

On Friday, 19,486 people were found corona infected in the state. 12,649 people recovered and 141 died. So far, 8.03 lakh people have been infected here. Of these, 7.30 lakh have been cured, while 11,793 patients lost their lives. 61,005 patients are undergoing treatment.

 

4. Chhattisgarh

 

On Friday, 14,912 people were found corona infected in the state. During this, 12,240 people recovered and 138 died. The state is undergoing treatment for 1.24 lakh people. A total of 3.86 lakh people have been cured, while the figure for total deaths has reached 5,580.

 

5. Madhya Pradesh

 

On Friday, 11,045 people were found corona infected in the state. 7,496 people recovered and 60 died. So far, 3.84 lakh people have been affected by the infection here. Of these, 3.20 lakh people have been cured. 4,425 patients lost their lives. 59,183 patients are undergoing treatment.

 

6. Gujarat

 

On Friday, 8,920 people were found corona infected in the state. 3,387 people recovered and 94 died. So far, 3.84 lakh people have been affected by the infection here. Of these, 3.29 lakh have been cured, while 5,170 patients died. 49,737 patients are undergoing treatment.
