
Maharashtra's political crisis is deepening. The Uddhav government seems to be badly trapped. Meanwhile, once again the matter has reached the Supreme Court. A petition was filed in the Supreme Court on behalf of Shiv Sena against the order of the Governor to conduct the majority test. The court has agreed to hear this petition at 5 pm today.
Shiv Sena had demanded an immediate hearing
Senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi had filed a petition in the Supreme Court on behalf of Shiv Sena Chief Whip Sunil Prabhu against the floor test. He had demanded an urgent hearing from the Supreme Court in this matter, to which the court agreed.
Governor called a special session
BJP leader and former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met Governor Koshyari on Tuesday. During this, he had demanded a majority test in the assembly. Just a day after this, the Governor has written a letter to the Uddhav government. According to this letter, a special session of the Legislative Assembly has been called tomorrow i.e. on June 30. In the special session to be held from 11 am to 5 pm, the Uddhav government has been asked to prove its majority.
Shinde faction will leave for Goa today
Shinde faction from Guwahati will leave for Goa just a day before the majority test. According to the information, these MLAs will be brought to Goa by a SpiceJet plane. For these 70 rooms have been booked in a hotel in Goa. These MLAs will reach Maharashtra Legislative Assembly tomorrow morning directly from Goa and will participate in the floor test proceedings.
Supreme Court had stayed the Deputy Speaker's notice
Even before this, there was a hearing in the Supreme Court on the Maharashtra crisis. During this, the Supreme Court had stayed the notice of the Deputy Speaker of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly till July 11. In fact, on behalf of the Deputy Speaker, 16 MLAs of the Shinde faction were sent a notice for being disqualified. The MLAs had reached the Supreme Court against this.
