Maharashtra: Rape accused presented 'live-in relationship' contract, these conditions brought relief to the government employee

A government employee got bail in a rape case due to a live-in relationship agreement. The seven conditions made under the agreement gave great relief to the person. A woman had registered a rape case against a government employee.

 

After the woman registered the case, the person presented a live-in relationship agreement in the court to get bail before arrest. It was mentioned in it that they will not register a case of  harassment against each other while living in a live-in relationship. The court granted bail to the person in the case. On the other hand, the woman who filed the case has denied any such agreement.

 

According to the police, the woman takes care of the elderly. While the accused is a government employee. The woman alleged that the partner promised to marry her and raped her several times while living together. The accused person's lawyer called it fraud.

 

The accused's lawyer Sunil Pandey told the court that the accused had been falsely implicated. They were in a live-in relationship. According to this agreement, both agreed to live in a relationship. Both had also signed the agreement. The police are now trying to confirm this relationship.

 

These were the seven conditions in the agreement

 

The first condition in the seven-point agreement was that both would live together from August 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025.

 

The second condition was that during this period, both would not register any case of intimate harassment against each other. They will spend their time peacefully.

 

The third condition was that the woman would live with the man at his house. If she does not like the behavior of the man, then she can separate at any time by giving a month's notice.

 

The fourth condition stated that as long as the woman lives with the man, the man's relatives cannot come to his house.

 

The fifth condition mentioned that the woman will not do any kind of mental or physical exploitation of the man.

 

The sixth condition was that if the woman becomes pregnant during this period, then the man will not be responsible for it.

 

The seventh condition states that if the man is mentally affected by any harassment, then the woman will be responsible for it.
