
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh made a statement in Parliament on Tuesday on the issue of a missile that accidentally fell into Pakistan's territory on March 9 from India. On the other hand, Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has spoken to the Foreign Minister of Germany on this matter. At the same time, America and China have also put their side.
Giving a detailed statement on this issue in Parliament, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that India gives top priority to the safety and security of its weapon systems. He said the exact cause of the alleged accident would be known only after investigation.
He said, "Today I would like to inform you about an incident that happened on March 9, 2022. This incident is related to the inadvertent release of a missile during the inspection. During routine maintenance and inspection, at around 7 o'clock, an accident occurred. The missile was dropped."
The Defense Minister said, "Later it was found that the missile had landed in Pakistan's territory. While we are sorry for the incident, we are relieved that no one was hurt due to the accident. The government has taken this incident seriously." A formal high-level inquiry has been ordered."
"This investigation will determine the exact cause of the accident. I would also like to state that in the wake of this incident, the Standard Operating Procedures for Operation, Maintenance, and Inspection are being reviewed. We make the safety and security of our weapon systems a top priority." If any deficiency is found, it will be rectified immediately."
He said, "Our missile systems are extremely secure. In addition, our security procedures and protocols are of a high standard and are reviewed from time to time. Our armed forces are well trained and disciplined and are well equipped to handle such systems. are experienced."
Pakistan gave information about the matter to Germany
Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Monday phoned German Foreign Minister Annalin Baierbock and informed him about the incident of missile fall.
A statement issued by Pakistan's Foreign Ministry spokesman said that Foreign Minister Qureshi, during a phone conversation with his German counterpart, informed him about the Indian missile entering Pakistani territory on March 9, 2022.
According to the post, Qureshi told the German foreign minister that India regretted the "mistaken" missile issue. Qureshi also said that such serious matters should not be resolved based on such a simple explanation given by the Indian authorities.
Pakistan also said that demand has been made on their behalf to conduct a joint inquiry into the matter. Qureshi also said that the international community should take this incident seriously. However, the German Foreign Minister's side has not been told on this issue.
China said - talk soon, India and Pakistan
Meanwhile, the Foreign Ministry of China has also given its side regarding this incident.
Speaking at the daily briefing of Pakistan's foreign ministry, spokesman Zhao Lijian said that India and Pakistan should hold talks on the issue at the earliest and start a "deep investigation".
On Monday, in response to a question from a journalist of Pakistani news agency APP, the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said, "China has taken note of relevant information in this regard. Both Pakistan and India are important countries of South Asia and security in the region." And maintaining stability is also the responsibility of both. China urges both countries to hold talks as soon as possible.
He also said that a thorough investigation should be started in this matter and together such a system should be made so that such misunderstandings are avoided again in the future and such incidents do not happen.

Regarding the missile incident, America has said that it is just an accident.
US State Department spokesman Ned Price said during a media interaction on Monday that the missile launch from India was just an accident.

"For any further information, we would ask you to contact the Indian Defense Ministry. They stated on March 9, detailing exactly what happened. We do not wish to comment further."
