Director of Health Department of UP, Communicable Diseases Dr. AK Singh told that 10-10 beds in all Covid hospitals in the state have been asked to be reserved for monkeypox patients. Just as the RRT teams were on alert in the districts regarding Covid, in the same way they are on alert for this. Contact tracing, sampling, and isolating them are instructions to do the same things as they were at the time of Covid.

But monkeypox will spread on prolonged contact. There is a possibility of spreading it after being in contact for 1-2 days. He told that this is a new virus of the smallpox group.
