
Mukhtar Ansari Death Mukhtar Ansari was not only a criminal but he also had a stronghold in the politics of Ghazipur-Mau. He had enmity with BJP leader Krishnanand Rai. He fraudulently got seven people including Krishnanand murdered in Godaur, Ghazipur. Had Krishnanand been there, Mukhtar would not have been able to progress either in politics or in the world of entertainment.
In the 90s, two gangs Sahib Singh and Makhnu Singh were active in Purvanchal. Mukhtar Ansari joined the Makhnu Singh gang. Makhnu Singh's gang conflicted with Sahib Singh's gang. Tribhuvan and Brijesh Singh were in Sahib Singh's gang.
In 1988, Mukhtar and Sadhu Singh killed Mandi Parishad contractor Sachchidanand Rai and then killed Tribhuvan Singh's brother Rajendra Singh, who was a constable in the Uttar Pradesh Police. To avenge his brother's murder, Tribhuvan along with Brijesh Singh killed Sadhu Singh. After this, the enmity between Brijesh Singh and Mukhtar Ansari started.
BJP leader Krishnanand Rai was associated with Brijesh Singh. Due to this, his enemy was also Mukhtar Ansari. He defeated Mukhtar's elder brother from the Mohammadabad seat in the 2002 assembly elections. Krishnanand Rai was getting the support of Brijesh Singh due to whom he was challenging Mukhtar Ansari everywhere. Mukhtar was deeply upset by this.
Was looking for revenge on Krishnanand. Mukhtar and Krishnanand came face to face in Lucknow. Several rounds of bullets were fired from both sides. No one died in this incident but the enmity between Mukhtar and Krishnanand increased further. On 29 November 2005, while returning to his village Godur after inaugurating a cricket match in Ghazipur itself, attackers armed with sophisticated weapons stopped Krishnanand Rai's car at Basniya Chatti.
More than 400 rounds of AK 47 bullets were fired at his car. Seven people died and 69 bullets were taken out of their bodies. In this murder case, seven people including Mukhtar Ansari, his brother Afzal Ansari and Munna Bajrangi were accused.
After the death of Krishnan and Rai, there was no one to stop Mukhtar. He dominated the entire Purvanchal. He had to go to jail under the pressure of the BJP after opening a front to protest against the murder of Krishnanand Rai. After this Mukhtar could never come out.
