The United Nations has released a report saying that by 2023, India will become the most populous country in the world. At the same time, on the increasing population, UP CM Yogi Adityanath has told his officers that efforts should be made to control the population successfully so that it does not happen that due to the increase in the population of one section, a situation of imbalance in the society is created.

China's population: 1426 million.

India's population: 1412 million.

The report claims that by 2023, India will become the most populous country in the world.

In 2050.

The possible population of India: is 166 crores.

The possible population of China: is 131 crores.

Pew Research has said in its report that the population of Muslims in India was 21.30 million in 2021, which will increase to 23.63 million by 2030. That is, during these 8 years the population growth of Muslims will be around 10%. At the same time, the population of India is estimated to increase to 150 crores at this time.

How much did the country's population increase in 73 years after independence?

According to Statista, the population of the country in 1948 was 358 million. In 2020, the population of the country has increased to about 138 crores. In this way, the population of the country has increased by 103 crores in 72 years.

Muslim population grew by 24.78% and Hindus by 16.77% in 10 years

In 2001, the population of Hindus was 82.75 crores and the population of Muslims was 13.8 crores. Exactly 10 years later, the population of Hindus increased to 96.63 crores, while the population of Muslims increased to 17.22 crores. During this period, the population of Muslims has increased at the rate of 24.78% while that of Hindus has increased at the rate of 16.77%.

In this way, the Muslim population of India's total population was 13.4% in 2001 which increased to 14.2% after 10 years. At the same time, in this decade, the population of Hindus decreased from 80.45% to 79.8% of the total population.

It is important to mention here that among Indian Muslims, 80% of the population is Pasmanda Muslims. Pasmanda means one who is backward. That is, socially and economically backward.

If we look at the data given above, it is clear that the rapid growth of the population is not directly related to religion, but has more to do with the socioeconomic condition.

This argument can also be understood from the example of tribals. The tribal population also increased at a rapid rate from 5.6% to 8.6% between 1951 and 2011.

In 2015 the fertility rate among Muslims was 2.6 and among Hindus was 2.1

Talking about the fertility rate of Muslims in India, in 2015, every Muslim woman had an average of 2.6 children. At the same time, the average number of children of Hindu women was 2.1. The lowest fertility rate was found in the Jain group. The average number of children of Jain women was 1.2.

According to the report, the fertility rate of Muslims in 1992 was the highest at 4.4. Hindus at number two were 3.3. According to the Pew Research Center, the decrease in the population rate has come in the minority Muslim community, which until the 1990s was more than Hindus.

This is also a fact…..

Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala, P. In states where the Muslim population is more than 20%, including Bengal, the fertility rate is below the national average of 1.8. There is the exception of UP, where, the rate is 2.4. Apart from this, Bihar has the highest 3 fertility rate in the country. At the same time, it is 2.9 in Meghalaya, 2.4 in UP, 2.3 in Jharkhand, and 2.1 in Rajasthan.

The pace of population growth in the rest of the world's Muslim countries

We analyzed the data of the World Bank to know the rate of increase of the Muslim population in the rest of the world. It revealed that the population in Saudi Arabia has grown at a rate of 33.49% between 2001 and 2011. At the same time, the population has increased in a decade at the rate of 29.82% in Nigeria and 25.54% in Pakistan. Apart from this, the population of Muslims in India has increased at the rate of 24.78% in this decade.
