Navy chief hosts reception for veterans

New Delhi, Feb 22 (IANS) Indian Navy chief Admiral R.K. Dhowan Sunday hosted a reception here for naval veterans residing in and around the national capital.

A navy statement said the event was part of Navy Week celebrations and an opportunity for interaction between serving and retired personnel.

The event provided a platform to facilitate exchange of ideas and for obtaining feedback on various initiatives implemented by the service for its retired community.

"Quarterdeck", a magazine published every year by the Navy Foundation, was also released.
