In Bihar, the new ministers of the Nitish Kumar cabinet took oath on Tuesday. After a few hours of taking the oath, Nitish also divided the portfolios of his ministers. In the new government, 33-year-old Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav is the youngest minister, while 76-year-old Energy Minister Bijendra Yadav is the oldest minister. Tejashwi has described himself as a cricketer in the election affidavit. At the same time, most of the ministers have described themselves as farmers. Tejashwi is the least educated minister in the Nitish cabinet. The Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar is only 8th pass. At the same time, three ministers have done Ph.D. Yadav and Muslim ministers dominate the new cabinet. There is a total of 12 ministers who come from Muslim or Yadav communities.
46% of ministers described themselves as farmers
15 ministers in the Nitish cabinet have described themselves as farmers in election affidavits. At the same time, Small Water Resources Minister Jayant Raj has told himself to be a social worker as well as have his dairy industry. Sugarcane Industries Minister Shamim Ahmed is a BAMS doctor as well as a farmer. In the affidavit, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has described social service as his profession. At the same time, Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav has described himself as a cricketer and social worker.
The least educated minister in Nitish Kumar's cabinet is Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav. Tejashwi is only the 8th pass. Seven ministers studied only till the 12th standard. Of these, four have been made ministers from the JDU quota and three are from the RJD quota. The 12th pass ministers include Environment Minister Tej Pratap Yadav, Energy Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, and Food and Consumer Protection Minister Lacey Singh.
Talking about the most educated ministers, three ministers have done Ph.D. These include Mines and Geology Minister Ramanand Yadav, Building Construction Minister Ashok Choudhary and Scheduled Castes, and Tribes Welfare Minister Santosh Kumar Suman. 12 ministers have bachelor's degrees. Of these, five are professional graduates. There are three engineers, a doctor, and a lawyer among the professional graduate ministers. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is also included in the engineer ministers. 10 ministers have master's degrees.
Which minister is the richest in the cabinet?
The richest minister in the Nitish cabinet is Sumir Mahaseth of the RJD quota. Mahaseth has assets worth Rs 24.45 crore. There are five ministers in Nitish's cabinet whose assets are more than 10 crores. At the same time, there are five ministers whose assets are less than one crore. Ministers with the least assets include both Congress ministers. Murari Prasad Gautam, who became a minister from Congress quota, is the poorest minister. He has total assets of 17.66 lakhs. Mohammad Jama Khan, who won on a BSP ticket in 2020, has assets worth 30.04 lakhs. Jama Khan is now in JDU.
Tejashwi has maximum of 11 cases going on
Out of 33 ministers in Nitish Kumar's cabinet, 23 ministers are facing criminal charges. There are nine ministers against whom not a single case is pending. The maximum number of 11 cases are going on against Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav. There are four ministers, including Tejashwi, who have five or more cases registered against them. These include Tejashwi's brother Tej Pratap. Five cases are going on against Tej Pratap. Surendra Yadav, who became a minister from the RJD quota, has nine cases and five cases are going on against Jitendra Rai of RJD.
Focus on MY factor, RJD also gave place to the upper castes
An attempt has been made to include all sections of the society in Nitish's new cabinet. Along with this, the MY equation has been focused on. Seven MLAs coming from the Yadav caste have been made ministers in the new cabinet. At the same time, five MLAs coming from Muslim society have become ministers. There were also four Muslim ministers in Nitish's previous NDA government's cabinet. Along with this, RJD has also tried to give representation in the cabinet to the leaders coming from the upper castes. Bhumihar MLC Kartikeya Singh from RJD's quota, Sudhakar Singh coming from the Rajput community has got the place. Sudhakar Singh is the son of RJD leader Jagdanand Singh. Two ministers have been made from the quota of Congress. One of them comes from Dalit society and the other is from Muslim society.
Sushil Modi targeted
