Opposition uproar in both houses of Parliament: Rajya Sabha adjourned 3 times; Opposition walks out of Lok Sabha over rising petrol prices

The proceedings of the winter session of the Parliament started on Thursday also due to the ruckus of the opposition. Rajya Sabha had to be adjourned 3 times. Congress MP Manish Tewari gave an adjournment motion in Lok Sabha to discuss the India-China border dispute, but it did not take up the discussion.

 

MBBS seat increased - Mandaviya

Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said that since 2014 there have been many changes in the education sector. Education did not stop during Corona, so many initiatives were taken. With the construction of more than 4.5 lakh toilets in schools, the dropout of girls has reduced from 70% to 13%.

 

MBBS seats were 53,000 in 2014 which has now become 96,000 and PG seats were 31,000 now it is 63,000, and medical colleges have also doubled today. The power of education is increasing in the country, and the efforts made to ensure that all people get opportunities in education are being appreciated.

 

Opposition walkout from Lok Sabha

The Congress did not seem satisfied with the reply of Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on rising petrol prices. Opposition MPs led by the Congress staged a walkout from the Lok Sabha.

 

Uproar in Rajya Sabha over Bihar liquor case

BJP MPs created a ruckus in the Rajya Sabha regarding the Bihar liquor case. The proceedings had to be adjourned three times due to the uproar. Apart from this, the opposition parties created a ruckus in the House on the issue of Tawang.

Congress MP wrote a letter

Congress MP Manish Tewari in a letter to the Secretary General of Lok Sabha has raised several questions regarding the 2020 Galwan clash between the Indian and Chinese armies and the skirmishes in the Yangtse. He said- This is the first physical clash between the two armies since August 2020 at Rinchen La in eastern Ladakh.

 

He said- It is necessary to ask questions in this regard like why are these clashes happening? What do the Chinese want? Have we lost any territory due to these attacks, if so what is the government planning to get it back? I urge the government to take this matter very seriously and hold a detailed discussion in Parliament regarding the border situation with China. I request permission to raise this matter.

 

The central government will present 16 bills

This session of Parliament is going to last for 17 days. During this, the government will present 16 bills in Parliament. On the first day, when the Wildlife Protection (Amendment) Bill 2022 was discussed in the Rajya Sabha, the demand for bringing population control law arose in the Lok Sabha. The first day of the 258th session of Rajya Sabha was also special for Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, who was his first day of action as Rajya Sabha Speaker.
