Rajkot, Surendranagar, Kutch, Morbi, Jamnagar, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Porbandar, Junagadh, Gir Somnath, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Botad, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Tapi, Dangs, Navsari, and Valsad. In the 2017 elections, there was 68 percent voted in these seats. Out of these 89 seats, BJP won 48 seats and Congress won 39 seats. At the same time, the Bharatiya Tribal Party (BTP) won two seats.
788 candidates in fray in the first phase
A total of 788 candidates are in the fray for 89 seats in the first phase of the Gujarat elections. 70 women candidates and 339 independent candidates are contesting the elections. BJP and Congress have fielded candidates in all 89 seats, while Aam Aadmi Party has 88 candidates, BSP 57, and Asaduddin Owaisi's All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) 6 candidates.
Voting will be held on 1 and 5 December
The first phase of voting in Gujarat will be held on December 1, while the second phase will be held on December 5. At the same time, the counting of votes for both phases will take place on December 8. The gazette notification for the first phase voting process was issued on November 5 and for the second phase voting process on November 10. The scrutiny will take place on November 15 for the first phase, while the date for the second phase is November 18. The last date for the withdrawal of nominations has been set for November 17 for the first phase and November 21 for the second phase.

For the last 24 years, the Bharatiya Janata Party is in power in Gujarat.
