The police have said that investigations so far have revealed that the attacker broke into the actor's house to commit a theft. According to police sources, the thief broke into the house next to the building where the actor lived. He then entered the house by scaling the wall. After entering the house, the thief climbed the stairs from the back side of the building to reach the floor on which the actor lives. The police have said that the thief entered Saif's apartment through the fire escape.

Police are questioning

According to the report, Saif's house helper Aliama Phillips alias Lima was the first to spot the thief at around 2 am last night. She screamed and Saif got to know. After this, there was a fight between the actor and the thief. The thief stabbed Saif six times before fleeing the spot. Police sources said that CCTV cameras have captured him entering and exiting from the rear side of the building. Police are questioning others including the house helper.
