Today is the 12th day of the agitated farmers' movement along Delhi's borders demanding withdrawal of all three new agricultural laws. In support of the farmers, Akhilesh Yadav, who is going to Kannauj, was stopped by the police in Lucknow and he sat on a dharna. After this, the police took Akhilesh into custody. Meanwhile, Punjab players and artists have announced that they will return the award today in support of the farmers.

 

Kejriwal said - Center pressured 9 stadiums to be jailed

Earlier, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal reached the Singhu border to meet the farmers. He said, 'The farmers' issue and struggle are justified. We have been together in the struggle of farmers from the beginning. The Central Government and Delhi Police had asked us the permission to build 9 stadiums. A lot of pressure was put on us, but we did not give permission. The central government wanted the farmers to come to Delhi and put them in jail.

The farmer said - will not let the common man get upset

Indian Farmers Union spokesman Rakesh Tikait has said that we will continue to protest in peace. We do not want to disturb the common man. On Tuesday, the time of Bharat Bandh is kept from 11 am to 3 pm, because by 11 am most people reach office and 3 pm holiday starts.

 

Ambulance and weddings exempted from 8 December

20 political parties and 10 trade unions, including Congress, have come out in support of the farmers' December 8 Bharat bandh. Leaders of opposition parties have asked for time to meet the president on 9 December. BSP chief Mayawati also announced support for the peasant movement today. On the other hand, farmer leader Baldev Singh Nihalgarh told that during the bandh on Tuesday, vehicles with ambulances and weddings will be able to come and go.

 

Farmers' next target - to be camped at Badarpur border

Even after 5 rounds of talks between the farmers and the government, no way has been found. Farmers are camping at many borders in Delhi for their demands. Bharat Bandh has also been announced on 8 December. Their next target is the closure of the Badarpur border. Police and security agencies have also come into action regarding this. Police are also trying to find out the strategy of farmers at their level.
