New Delhi, Feb 26 (IANS) A special court Thursday concluded recording statements of prosecution witnesses in the money laundering case related to 2G spectrum allocation case against former telecom minister A. Raja, DMK MP Kanimozhi and others.
Central Bureau of Investigation Special Judge O. P. Saini recorded the statement of Enforcement Directorate Deputy Director Rajeshwar Singh, testifying as a prosecution witness in the case.
Special Public Prosecutor N.K. Matta told the court that ED does not wish to examine further witnesses in the case.
The court then fixed the matter March 16 for recording statement of 19 accused including Raja.
The recording of statements of prosecution witnesses had commenced on Nov 17 last year and the ED has examined 25 witnesses in the case. The statements run into approximately 600 pages.
The court Oct 31, 2014 framed charges of money laundering against Raja, Kanimozhi and others.
