Sonia shocked over rail disaster

New Delhi, March 20 (IANS) Congress president Sonia Gandhi expressed shock over the train disaster in her Lok Sabha constituency Rae Bareli that killed 27 people on Friday.

Gandhi expressed the hope that the government was "taking adequate compensation measures and the injured were being provided ample relief".

Two coaches of the Dehradun-Varanasi Janata Express derailed after the driver overshot a signal near Rae Bareli town.
