
Chandigarh, The Haryana government has taken several very tough decisions to improve the economic condition of Corona. In the state cabinet meeting, decisions were taken which would put many economic burden on the public. The fare of Haryana Roadways buses has been increased. Vegetables and fruits can also be expensive. The government has imposed two per cent market fees in vegetable and fruit markets. At present, this fee was not charged. Apart from this, alcohol will also be expensive. The cabinet has also decided to impose Corona cess on liquor. Petrel and diesel have also become costlier. Petrol price has been increased by Rs. 1 per liter and diesel by Rs. 1.10 per liter.

In this way, the corona epidemic has now hit the people of the state in the form of additional expenditure burden. These important decisions were taken in the meeting of Haryana Cabinet due to weak financial condition. This can strengthen the government's financial condition. It has been agreed to impose Corona cess on liquor, but what will be its rate is yet to be decided.
Volvo fare increased by 50 paise and normal buses fare by 15 paise per km
In Haryana Roadways, the fare for ordinary buses has been increased from 85 paise per km to Rs 1 per km, while the fare for luxury (Volvo) buses has been increased from Rs 2 per km to Rs 2.5 per km. Despite increasing the fare of normal buses in Haryana, it will be less than Punjab, Himachal and Rajasthan. On an average, the fare of luxury buses from Chandigarh to Delhi has increased by Rs 125, while the fare of normal buses has been increased by Rs 37 on this route.
Market committees imposed two percent market fees in vegetable market and fruit market
In the Haryana Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Manohar Lal, two percent market fees have been restored in the vegetable market and fruit market under market committees. There will be one percent market fee and one percent HRDF cess. The previous Hooda government waived this fee in 2014. This decision can be expected to bring considerable revenue to the government exchequer. Also fruits and vegetables will become expensive.
In the cabinet meeting, there has been a 25 percent increase in the fare of luxury buses running from Gurugam and Chandigarh to Ballabhgarh via neighboring states of Punjab, Chandigarh to New Delhi, Indira Gandhi Airport. Now, about 125 rupees extra passengers will have to be paid in the fare from Sector-17 bus stand of Chandigarh to ISBT in New Delhi. In normal roadways buses, on this route, the burden of passengers will be about Rs. At present the fare of normal buses was 85 paise per km, which has been increased to one rupee. This fare has been increased by fifteen paise per km.
Preparations to make alcohol too expensive in the state, new contracts may open from May 14
Excise policy was also discussed in the cabinet meeting. It is planned to be implemented from 14 May. Liquor prices may also increase in the state. As of May 3, liquor contracts are closed due to the lockdown. Whether or not the contracts will open after this will depend on the instructions of the central government, but the government wants that the contracts can be opened from May 14. Reports have been sought from authorities as to how much corona cess can be levied.
Prohibition on purchase of new vehicles, new vehicles will not come for ministers
The Haryana cabinet has taken a ban on the purchase of vehicles for the next one year, taking steps towards reducing expenses. Public transport buses, ambulances, fire vehicles and emergency services vehicles are excluded from this decision. There is a complete ban on the purchase of new vehicles including cars and jeeps. If there is a great need for a new car or jeep, then instead of purchasing such vehicles, they will be outsourced or rented. After this decision of the government, new trains for ministers have also stopped.

Rates of petrol and diesel have increased in Haryana. One rupee petrol and 1 rupee 10 paise per liter of diesel have been increased in the state. The cabinet meeting has taken this decision in view of the financial crisis arising out of the lockdown. A total of 15 percent weightage has been imposed on petrol and diesel, due to which the prices have increased.
This is expected to bring in huge revenue to the government exchequer. Apart from CM, Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala, Home Minister Anil Vij, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kanwarpal Gurjar, Transport Minister Moolchand Sharma, Cooperative Minister Dr. Banwari Lal, Social Welfare Minister OP Yadav and Women and Child Development Minister Kamlesh Dhanda were present in the meeting. The rest of the ministers connected through video conferencing.
