Supreme Court strict instructions to the Center: Do not suppress complaints on social media; Private companies will not decide which state will get how much vaccine

The Supreme Court on Friday expressed deep concern over the lack of oxygen and beds. The court also directed the Center about the complaints that people are raising on social media. The court said that such complaints should not be suppressed. The Supreme Court also asked questions regarding vaccination and also gave directions to the Central Government. Justice DY Chandrachud said, "Private manufacturers will not decide whom to vaccinate, how much."

Supreme Court directs government on 5 issues related to corona

1. On the lack of beds: The situation is very serious. Now even doctors and healthcare workers are not getting beds. Now hotels, temples, churches, and other places should be opened so that they can be converted into Covid centers.

2. On complaints on social media: It is a matter of concern to me as a citizen and a judge. If a citizen puts his complaint on social media, we do not want this information to be suppressed. Let these voices come to us. It should not be assumed that the complaints raised on social media are false. If a citizen needs beds or oxygen and has to be harassed, we will consider it contempt of court.

3. On vaccination: What is the arrangement for the registration of illiterate and people who do not have internet? What is the actual figure of the population between 18 and 45 years old? The Center says that 50% of the vaccine will be given to the states, how will the vaccine manufacturers exercise fairness in this matter? Which state will get how many vaccines, these private vaccine manufacturers will not decide. They should not be given this exemption. The Center should formulate a National Immunization Model, as the poor will not be able to pay the cost of the vaccine.

4. On oxygen supply to Delhi: What steps have been taken to supply oxygen tankers and cylinders?

How much oxygen supply do you expect? Our consciousness is shaken badly. If the Center remained silent and did not take any action immediately, then there would be the accountability of 500 deaths on our head. We are not criticizing the Center nor are we talking about the lack of oxygen in Delhi because of the inefficiency of the Delhi government. The Center will have to push because it is your special responsibility for Delhi.

5. On Health Services: The health infrastructure we have received during 70 years is inadequate. Our health care sector is on the verge of collapse. Now retired doctors and officers should be put on duty again. The center is allowed to show a powerpoint presentation to explain the preparations made on the corona.

Hearing on the second petition before CJI, interesting questions and answers

In the Supreme Court, before the bench of Chief Justice NV Ramanna, there was a petition file regarding Covid treatment and medicines. This led to interesting questions and answers between the court and petitioner Suresh Shaw.

Court: Are you a doctor?

Petitioner: No, I am not a doctor.

Court: What do you know about Covid?

Petitioner: I am unemployed.

Court: This is a very mild petition, it has been filed by a man who does not know the subject.

The petitioner wants us to give instructions on how to test and treat Covid. We fix the price. Tell us, how much should we fix?

Petitioner: I have only one thousand rupees in my account.

Court: We apply a thousand prices. Dismiss ...
