The Supreme Court on Wednesday, during the hearing of Supertech's Twin Towers case in Noida, slammed the company and threatened to send the directors to jail for not complying with the order. The court said that the company should return the money to the home buyers by Monday as per the order. Attempts are being made to ignore the order of the court on one pretext or the other. If this happens, there will be consequences.

The court asked the Noida Authority to file the additional documents and affidavit and give the latest status of the demolition of the 40-story twin towers. The hearing will take place again on Monday. Several buyers have filed contempt petitions in the Supreme Court accusing Supertech of not returning the money and paying less. On Wednesday, the matter came up for hearing before a bench of Justices DY Chandrachud and AS Bopanna. On coming to the hearing, the court told the lawyer of Supertech what is happening. We will send your directors to jail.

Lawyers for the buyers said they were first called to collect the money, then told that the money would be given in installments. They are not being given money as per the order of the court. To this, Justice Chandrachud said, we see that you are trying to ignore the order of the court. The court said orally, you return the money by Monday, otherwise, there will be dire consequences.

In the case of the demolition of the twin towers, the lawyer of Noida Authority told the court that Supertech had earlier mentioned an agency. The authority sent it to the Central Building Research Institute for approval. After this Supertech has sent the proposal of another agency, hence there is a delay in compliance. Supertech's lawyer said that the Noida Authority can get the demolition work done by either of the agencies. On this, the court, while directing the Noida Authority, ordered the matter to be put up for hearing on January 17.
