Suryakumar Yadav may get a place in the team for the Test series against Bangladesh, but it is difficult for Jadeja to be fit

According to sources in the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is finding it difficult to be fit for the Test series against Bangladesh starting December 14. India has three specialist spinners in off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, Akshar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav. In such a situation, there is a question mark on whether there will be any place for the fourth spinner.

At the same time, there is a discussion that in the event of no new selection committee or committee being formed, the Indian team management can include Suryakumar Yadav in the team for the longer format. India has to play two Test and three ODI series against Bangladesh under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. A BCCI source said, 'Jadeja has gone to NCA on several occasions for checkups and rehab. However, as of now it is unlikely that he will be fit for the Bangladesh series. There is still time left to announce any changes.

Let us tell you that Suryakumar Yadav is scoring a lot of runs these days and after a good performance in T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia, he scored the most runs in the three-match T20 series against New Zealand and was also the player of the series. Suryakumar played an excellent inning of 111 not out off 51 balls in the second T20 match against the Kiwi team. Suryakumar Yadav had also said a few days ago that he likes to play Test cricket and wants to play Test cricket for India. Surya has scored the most runs for India so far in this calendar year i.e. above 1500 runs.

At the same time, Ravindra Jadeja was troubled by his knee injury during the Asia Cup 2022 and after that he had an operation. Because of this, he could not play in T20 World Cup 2022 as well and the tour of New Zealand was also missed. He was selected in the Test and ODI squads for the tour of Bangladesh, but the condition was that he would be able to go on that tour only if he was fully fit.
