Union Home Minister Amit Shah attacked the DMK for allegedly derogatory remarks by DMK leader A Raja against the mother of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami. He said that it is clear from Raja's statement that the party does not respect women. Addressing an election rally here, Shah accused the DMK of somehow wanting to win the election simply.
He said that the 'mothers and sisters' of the state should teach the DMK a lesson in the April 6 assembly election. Referring to Raja's alleged objectionable remarks against Palaniswamy, the leader of BJP's ally AIADMK, Shah also targeted the Congress and DMK for alleged corruption and dynastic politics.
The DMK has no respect for the honor of women
He said, 'I saw the statement of DMK leader A Raja. The kind of statement he has made against the dead woman, I think there is no respect for the (DMK) women inside him and they want to win this election at any cost. ' The BJP leader said, 'Even earlier, the DMK had made such bad comments against Jayalalithaji (late Chief Minister). I appeal to the mothers and sisters of Tamil Nadu to teach a lesson to the anti-women DMK in the elections. '
He said that this electoral battle is between the NDA on the path of development and the UPA on the politics of corruption and dynasty. Shah alleged that both the DMK and Congress parties are not concerned about the people of Tamil Nadu. He said that Congress President Sonia Gandhi is worried about her son Rahul and DMK chief MK Stalin about his son Udayanidhi.
Home Minister Amit Shah did a roadshow in Puducherry
On the other hand, Home Minister Amit Shah attended a roadshow in Puducherry and asked for votes for BJP candidates. Voting for the assembly in the Union Territory will be held on April 6. Shah also visited the Siddhananda temple at Karunadikuppam after reaching Lavaspet airport here.
Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, BJP's local unit president V Saminathan and former PWD minister and BJP candidate from Mannadipet A Namasivam were also present with Shah. Shah has visited Puducherry for the second time. Earlier, he held an election rally in Karaikal in February. In the Union Territory, BJP has fielded candidates for nine assembly seats. In the NDA, its ally AINRC has fielded candidates for 16 seats and AIADMK for the remaining five seats.
