Kolkata, April 1 (IANS) Claiming that the Trinamool Congress will spread its roots across India within the next six months, party chief Mamata Banerjee Tuesday accused the Congress, CPI-M and the BJP of being hand in glove in West Bengal.
Banerjee, who was interacting with mediapersons at the NSC Bose International Airport here before leaving for Tripura to address an election meeting, reiterated that the Trinamool would finish as the third largest party in the Lok Sabha poll.
Brushing aside a question on the Communist Party of India-Marxist's keenness to join hands with the Congress, Banerjee said: "We have been saying that the CPI-M, Congress and the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) are working together. We are not saying this without basis."
However, she said the Trinamool was the only pro-people alternative before the people. "We are with `ma' `mati' `manush' (mother, land and people). `Ma' 'mati' 'manush' should also support Trinamool."
Asked about her plans to extend Trinamool's reach outside West Bengal, she said: "These things can't be done in such a short time. And we don't have the monetary strength for this."
"But now that we have started working on this, within six months will make it an all India party. But this time (after the poll) it will become the third largest party," said Banerjee who is slated to address another election meeting in Assam Wednesday.
