The demolition work, which started on Sunday, is being done under the supervision of the Central Building Research Institute (CBRI) Roorkee. CBRI Chief Scientist DP Kanungo said that the hotel cannot be repaired. There are houses around both hotels, so it is necessary to demolish them. The hotel will collapse further, which will cause more damage. That's why they will be dropped off as soon as possible. Mechanical dismantling techniques are being used for this.
