The Russia-Ukraine war has been going on for the last 35 days. During this several rounds of talks have taken place between the two countries. At the same time, Russia has spoken of reducing attacks in the meeting held in Istanbul. Meanwhile, because of India's deep ties with Russia, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba has sought Prime Minister Narendra Modi to mediate.

Demand for mediation from PM Modi

This was stated by Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba during a conversation with NDTV. "If Prime Minister Modi is willing to play a role as a mediator between President Zelinsky and President Putin, we will welcome his efforts," he said.

Apart from this, he said- Ukraine has always been a reliable consumer of India. We have always been one of the guarantors of Indian food security. We supply many products. It is a mutually beneficial relationship.

India to take advantage of relations with Russia

Foreign Minister Dmitro Kuleba said- We request you to take advantage of India's relations with Russia and persuade President Putin to stop the war. President Putin is the only person making decisions in Russia. So you need to talk to them directly about how to end this war.

Putin wants war

He said – there is only one person in the world who wants this war, that is Putin. If Prime Minister Narendra Modi can convince Putin to stop this war, why should we be against him? I hope India will support Ukraine.

Ukraine has always been home to Indian students: Minister Kuleba

The Ukrainian minister also condoled the death of an Indian student during the Russian bombing in Kharkiv. He said- We want to end the war. We don't want anyone to die. I would like to express my deepest condolences to the family of the Indian student who was killed. Ukraine has always been home to Indian students before the Russian invasions. We want the students to come back.
