According to the NCRB data of previous years, there were 32,033 rape cases in 2019, 33,356 in 2018, 32,559 in 2017, and 38,947 in 2016. Last year, the highest number of 5,310 rape cases were registered in Rajasthan. After this, 2,769 cases were registered in Uttar Pradesh.
