Sadhu Dharamsot Arrested: Former Punjab cabinet minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot was arrested along with 2 companions, Vigilance was picked up from Amloh at 3 am

The Vigilance Bureau has arrested former Punjab Forest Minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot and several other associates of whom a journalist is also being told. Vigilance picked up Sadhu Singh Dharamsot from his house in Amloh at three o'clock on Tuesday morning. Dharamsot is accused of taking bribes in exchange for felling trees. On behalf of the Vigilance Bureau, former minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot and his associates will be produced in the court of Mohali. Dharamsot was the Forest Minister when Captain Amarinder Singh was the CM.

 

It is worth mentioning that today itself Rahul Gandhi is coming to Punjab. He will meet the family of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala after the murder. It is being told that the Vigilance Bureau had caught some forest officers of Mohali on charges of bribery. He told during interrogation that Dharamsot used to take a bribe of Rs 500 for cutting a tree. Apart from this, bribes were also taken for planting new trees. The part of which also went directly to the then minister Dharamsot.

During his tenure as Social Security Minister, allegations were made that scholarship money was wrongly given to private colleges and universities. There was a lot of uproar about this. Bhagwant Mann had said to send him behind bars

 

It is worth mentioning that after the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann talked about sending Dharamset behind bars. Before the elections, the opposition parties including the Aam Aadmi Party had raised this issue vigorously. Then along with Shiromani Akali Dal, the Aam Aadmi Party also had a movement.
